The key to a smooth and even makeup application is a great base!! Keeping the skin clean, exfoliated and hydrated will ensure the makeup sits well. Yep, it's really that simple. Most people are aware of that but being consistent with a regimen, along with the odd hormonal breakout, can throw a kink in things.
It's recommend that, in preparation for the big day, you find a regimen that's suited to your skin type and be as consistent as possible for the months leading up to it. Another great option, if it appeals to you and fits into your wedding budget, are facials! It's best to have a trial facial well in advance to the big day to ensure your skin agrees with the products being used and then return for the same facial 3-5 days prior.
How can I ensure a long lasting hair style?
What is the trick to a smooth makeup application?
Whether you plan to wear your hair pinned up, down with an effortless wave or curled to perfection, we prefer you to have 'day old hair'. Washed and blow-dried the night before is best for a long lasting look without having an oily appearance. If your hair tends to be oily or you just prefer a fresh wash to feel good, go for it! We can manage with it being washed morning of since we have products that can 'dirty it up'. All we ask is that it is 100% dry for some time before styling.
Do you offer a trial?
Yes. We offer trials at our studio downtown Kelowna. If you would like a trial we are happy to accommodate your trial during our designated trial days. Please inquire if this is something you would be interested in!
Is the trial included in my rate?
Trails are a separate service to the day of booking.
Who usually gets a trial?
We offer trials as a service to our lovely brides. There are cases where the mom also would like a trial and if we can accomodate, we do!
When should I plan my trial for?
Trials are done between Feb-May. Please inquire about a day that may work for you and the artists to get together.
What is needed to reserve my date?
To secure your date, we require a completed contract and deposit/interim payment be paid via etransfer.
Does the deposit go towards my event?
Yes, the deposit will be deducted from your balance which is due the day before or the day of the event.
What if I don’t sign the contract or don’t leave the deposit?
We cannot hold your date or time without the contract & deposit.
Can I add or subtract services after I sign the contract?
If you want to add or subtract services please do it within the cancellation period to avoid cancellation charge. Or to make sure the artist has the time. The appropriate staff and materials will be there for what is stated on the contract.
I might need someone to stay to touch up my hair/ makeup, is that possible?
Absolutely! Please inquire about the hourly rate for touch ups or day rate.
What should I wear?
A button or a zip down shirt. We don’t want to mess up your beautiful hair and makeup!
I want extensions for my event, can you do that also?
We have no problem installing your clip in hair extensions for a small fee.
If I want to come to you, where are you located?
We are located at 1470 Highland Drive South, Kelowna BC.
What is the cost for travel and where is the travel rate calculated from?
Travel is calculated for our studio space at 1470 Highland Drive South, Kelowna BC. The rate is based on KM to and from your location, for each artist.
Why does the bride cost more than attendants?
There is much more than makeup that goes into the bridal price. We strive to make sure the bride can have all her questions or concerns answered always. So not only are we providing extra time for makeup and hair on the day of the wedding, but we are also including the time we spend with the bride over emails and calls and providing a timeline for the day of.
How do I book you for our wedding day?
Please fill out our CONTACT FORM first so we are able to get as many details of what you are needing for your wedding day. Once you decide you want to move forward we will send you a passwor to our contract and once we receive the completed contract we will send you an invoice to pay your $700 retainer to book your beauty team!
